I went to this gym for a year when I was in college because I liked that it was all women, made me comfortable, and was affordable. I then signed up for a second year because I was satisfied with the classes provided and women friendly atmosphere. It was until I walked in ready to work out one day that the receptionist states "You have a balance." I had paid my membership in full when I signed the contract, what they did not point out was that 6 months later an "Enhancement Fee" would automatically be charged to my account. Unfortunately, the card they had to my account no longer existed, therefore, I had to pay double for a return fee. At no point as this was going on did the manager apologize nor remove the return charge for the card. So, if you ever close an account or lose your card, make sure to call Shapes before you get automatically charged and have to pay double. And, you can not cancel your membership unless for medical or relocation reasons (I know this because I tried after this unpleasant experience).
