Concourse Athletic Club Hot

The best classes in Atlanta, professional and knoweable trainers, helpful and friendly staff, great equipment with little to no wait, amazing outdoor pool, fabulous parties and socials! More than just a gym it's truly a "club"! I would highly recommend to those that can appreciate more than just weights and looking for more than just a meat market!

As a former athlete who's visited (and enrolled in) a number of local gyms such as L.A. Fitness, Crunch, Unit 3, and Knuckle Up; I have a pretty good idea of what to look for in a great workout facility. Unfortunately, the Concourse Athletic Club has very few of those essentials. Cleanliness? Forget it. Customer Service? Nonexistent. Personal Training Staff? Mostly a joke (with only 2 exceptions). Excessive crowding/long machine wait times? Count on it. Equipment condition? Usually covered in sweat and several machines look old enough to have been used by Napoleon. Atmosphere? More like a nursing home than a meat market (forget about picking up a hottie because you rarely see anyone under 50 and even the older women are far from MILFs, unless you go to the Pilates classes which are definitely jammed with beautiful cougars - and occasionally a 20-something hottie, plus the two instructors are perfect "10s"). Overall value? Well it's about five times as much per month as a lot of other local gyms and offers less of the essential factors that make a great gym impossible to live without. About six to eight years ago it was a much better gym and you could even catch a few celebs working out there (sports stars, CNN anchors), but those days are over. You're better off scouting other options.
