Gold's Gym Hot

This is a very nice looking facility, but the lure ends there. The facility has been struggling with money issues since the day it opened the doors. Hence, the owner is not putting money back into the gym to keep everything in good working order. Sinks, toilets, showers, sauna can go weeks broken and without repair. The highest weight dumbbell is 100 pounds and one of the pair has been broken for more than 5 months. Several pin select machines suffer the same fate.

The staff turnover is tremendous. This includes the management. The attitude of managers and staffers alike is rude and they give the impression they could care less whether they or you were there at all. This is apparent when I asked the front desk to add paper towels to the locker room. I was told they'll tell maintenance to add some in the morning. When I advised them I'd like to dry my hands now, I got the response of "oh well" and an evil grin.

The gym is entering it's 2 year anniversary and like myself, the many who signed up when the doors opened are at the end of the two year contract agreement and it's like mice feeling from a sinking ship. It's not the quality that I have come to expect under the Gold Gym brand. This Golds gym is badly tarnished. I left and found BodyPlex up the street an much better facility. Oh well Golds !
